After commencing maths and physics study at CQU, Abdul stumbled across some acting classes which inspiring him go on to pursue a career in The Arts. Abdul was a natural entertainer at school, studying drama alongside his maths/science subjects, but had never considered this career path before. Abdul relocated to the Gold Coast in 2017 and is now an actor, poet and filmmaker. 'My goal is to travel and create documentaries and tell stories of our culture' he said.
Abdul was an extra in Baz Luhrman's biographical musical drama film 'Elvis', filmed on the Gold Coast, and also 'Young Rock' television series filmed in Brisbane about Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson currently showing on Foxtel.
Recently Abdul performed at a Slam Poetry event in Brisbane. He is a camera operator for corporate videos and has also created his first short film that he wrote, filmed, edited and acted in, 'When all seems lost' which is available on YouTube.
